Seriously? I never realised it was that close to being finished. That is fantastic news. I detest that stretch of the N8. Should knock another chunk off Cork-Dub and Cork-Kilk and be a lot safer.

So what is bypassed? New Inn etc?

New inn all the way to Cahir is effectively bypassed. At the moment its a bit confusing as Cahir is bypassed also via the other bypass i.e the Limerick Clonmel route.

The road past cahir on the Cork bypass isn't fully opened so the trip is as follows.

Travel on Cashel bypass (soon to be the cork motorway) travel down as far as Cahir exit, you are forced to exit then bypass Cahir using the Limerick bypass.

It makes sense when you are on the road, its a tricky one to explain.

Thanks we'll give it a go on the next trip. Do they have an exit for Horse and Jockey?

The dual carriage way does not go as far as the horse and jockey yet, it ends at the Dublin side of Cashel near the Sheik's stud farm.

Watch your speed its still 100Km not 120 !!

Getting from the Red Cow to my home county is getting faster which is great. But getting from my home, via the M50 to the Red Cow is taking much longer. The overall journey time is increasing every year
